A new big purchase

So, I’ve been eyeing the netbooks at Best Buy for a few weeks now…okay….maybe more like a week. Today, I went and purchased a Gateway netbook. The real main reason for my purchase, is that unlike some people who eat when they get depressed, I shop. In fact, I almost lose my appetite altogether. So hopefully this little thing will help lift me out of my funk. I’ll not be opening it tonight, after little to no sleep last night due to the storms in the area, I’ll probably clock out early. So tomorrow, I’ll tackle my new little computer. I tested it out, and the Athlon 64 processor inside seems to run well with the 2GB of memory. It’s one of the larger netbooks out there, with half the weight of my heavy duty work laptop. I won’t in all likely hood be carrying around the power adaptor and wacom tablet with this baby.  It will solely be for surfing the web, and taking notes and stuff while I’m out and on the go.

I’ll probably do another post later down the road as a review on the Gateway.

UPDATE: As of this evening, I have my new glasses which I will attempt to start wearing tomorrow. No matter how much it ‘pains’ me to do so. And my jury summons date moved from Monday to Tuesday, will have to call again Monday night to see if it changes again.
