Beta Testing Windows 7
Posted on | January 13, 2009 | No Comments
Spent part of last night goofing around inside Windows 7 Beta (64-bit). Downloaded and installed the ATI video drivers for my laptop, Firefox, and either tonight or tomorrow, I have plans to try and install the trial software for Adobe CS4 and Office 2007. Want to see how fast Windows 7 runs and how well it handles the software I’d use on an almost daily basis. So far, it has seemed a bit faster than Vista Home Premium 64-bit ran, and I do like the miniture pop-up views of all the tabs in each ‘group’/program.
I did notice that one of the websites I visited most, Meebo.com when viewed with IE (v 7 or 8, not sure which at this point), the images didn’t render well. Can only assume it was because they were PNG files.
I’ll try to have a more extensive report, once I get into fully using it.
