Long time coming… an Update!
By now, most everyone I know is aware that I’ve moved back to North Carolina after living in Edmonton, AB for over 9 years. I am currently looking for work, living in a new home and spending the days with Mom (whose health has seriously declined in the last year).
My creativity in writing, scrapping, and in anything else really has taken a severe dive the last two months.
Even now, after being in the new place for two weeks, I still have this feeling of something pending. As if I’m still transient. I’m sure it will pass. It’s all just very tiring.
I’ve got pictures up at Picasa Web of the new house in Christmas mode - Day 1 and Day 2. I should have more pictures soon, especially of the outside and the neighborhood.
As to the job hunt, when I moved down I had high hopes of being employed by a private school local to the area, but that fell through. C’est la vie. So I’m starting over, and hopefully with luck and the skills of RHI, I will be gainfully employed soon.
Wow! I knew I’ve been out of touch, but that’s a big development.
I still feel strange in my house, even though it’s been 8 months already. And you are in transition, so it’s natural to feel that way.
Good luck in you job search! Sending you good vibes. And healing peace for your mom.
I have been following your blog and feel I have started to know a bit about you. However, if you don’t mind asking, I am wondering about something. A few posts back you mentioned your husband repainting the garage, and now you are telling us you have moved to North Carolina. Did you go there with or without him?
